God-FUCKING-damn it!

I could kill my fucking cat right now. Just throw her into the middle of traffic in the busy road in front of my house and let her take her chances.

The fucking thing has to crawl on every fucking surface of the house. For no fucking reason it tries to eat one of my lamp shades. It has to crawl all over shit to get to it.

Now it's fucking taking to crawling on the sloped back of one of my TV's. This particular TV is somewhat hard to get to needing a nearby windowsill for access. So it crawls up there and is very close to two of my prized house decorations. One is an incense/candle holder of three Egyptian cats. It's gnawing on a plant between the two pieces and I reach to push it off. I should've taken more care because the fucking cat starts flailing and does exactly what I try to prevent. It hits the incense holder as it slips back down the back of the TV and knocks the candle wax holder part completely off the TV. I hear it slide down the back of the TV and I pray. But my prayers go unanswered and at the very end there is a horrific crash and the decorative candle plate shatters. It was an expensive Christmas present I specifically asked for and didn't really expect to get. And now it looks really fucking lame with the candle holder wax part smashed to bits. This has me very sad and immensely irate as this was my favorite decorative piece in the house and I don't know if I can replace it. I am so fucking sick of the fucking cat climbing on everything. For the life of me I don't know how I managed to keep myself from strangling the cat or even laying a finger on it. I've screamed at it every time it shows its face to the point to my throat is going raw.

I don't want that fucking thing in my sight right now.

God damn FUCKING CAT! Just stay the fuck out of my sight right now.

Weekend escapades

Blog 073007

Ugh, my sibling closest in age to me just turned 40. I’m not far behind.

Crazy dreams lately. The other day I had one where I was in the backfields of my parents place with some people. There was heavy construction equipment there in the form of two large bucket loaders. For whatever reason, my family has always called them Michigans. I think that that was the name of the company that made them. These two machines came to life and started driving after me despite having no drivers. One I got away from easily but the other forced me to run across my neighbor’s field and into their woods. Their 7 acres are mostly lawn so I had to run along the trails in the woods to keep from being seen.

Another I had today was weird. I can’t recall the exact order of things but at one point I was on an island that was full of rich people, mostly celebrities. Rod Stewart lived there along with Herbie Hancock and Patrick Stewart. It was a weird place. Huge town houses clustered together like a small rich town and in the center square lawn chairs were set up where the celebs would sit. It was known I was new to the island and the celebs wanted to recruit me. I was to be some sort of skilled slave or something. I was presented nicely with offers to join ‘houses’ – essentially guild houses owned by the celebs. They had family crests and shields and everything. Patrick Stewart’s house was the Borg. He was all done up as a Borg when he showed up. Then some random cloaked figure showed up. This person, pretty certain it was a woman, I think really, REALLY old, maybe hundreds of years, was there to sort of warn me. She had a white mask on reminiscent of the mask from the movie V for Vendetta. I headed off and hid behind some of the townhouses and lost everyone.

Eventually I was an airbrush artist working at a clothing store on the island. Somehow I ended up at a skating rink where one of the young girl celebs was performing. I watched her for awhile before returning to the store. Then I was behind on all the orders I had. I sort of B.S. a kid costumer why his order wasn’t ready. It was just bizarre stuff.

I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was okay but I liked Transformers a lot, LOT better. This Potter movie didn’t seem to have a whole lot of fun to it. It felt really dark. I do have a big crush on Tonks though. I haven’t read any of the books but I have been enjoying the movies. I didn’t dislike this movie, I just didn’t feel that there was much to make me stand up and cheer for it. Looney Luna was suitably weird and I liked her. The blond haired snot kid hardly appeared in this movie which was surprisingly. The actors getting older may be throwing off some of my enjoyment. The older twin brothers of Ron look like they should be in college. Not having read the books, I do not know how long the students are allowed to attend Hogwarts. It’s still a really fun universe though and I’ll be asking for a book or two from the series for Christmas presents this year.

I saw my aunt and uncle from Florida today. I try to make these visits whenever I can because my relatives are getting older and each time might be the last time I see them alive. This uncle is 76! He’s very lively and a fun man to be around.

I learned that my sister has not been fired from her band. Instead, the two guys that wanted her out are out of the band. I’ll have to find her Youtube performance and post the link.

My brother that agreed to buy the 2007 Ford Mustang is getting the run around from the dealership. He wanted a blue Mustang and they can’t find one. Then he agreed to take a red one from the lot but that one’s been sold. So he’s threatening to take his money elsewhere. We’re going down to his house in Rhode Island this coming weekend for a day long party. It’s usually quite fun with horseshoes and swimming and teasing all his ducks, geese and chickens. The horse flies from the horses next door are monstrous though.

On a related note I can’t seem to locate a bathsuit despite stopping at four separate stores. One had some for $2 but they were sized 3x and 4x! I need a suit not a potato sack.

I had $44 to spend because I worked some OT last week. I’m trying to spend a little more on myself now as a change of philosophy. I save like I’m losing my job tomorrow. So instead of all my OT money going to bills I took $44 of it for myself. I bought a pair of sneakers for $30 on total impulse. I can’t recall the last time I bought a pair of white sneakers. I literally think it’s been over ten years since I did, maybe even 15. The other $14 is for my bathing suit that may become just a pair of athletic shorts.

My nephew is kicking butt on Nintendo Wii as I write this. He just bowled a 173 and then a 207 and now a 163. He’s on fire and could actually possibly beat me now.

I’m a bit disappointed that I once again missed San Diego Comic Con. It’s the biggest comic con in America. G4 even provides TV coverage of it although they really focus on all the Hollywood stuff there. In fact, of the coverage I saw, I was somewhat bored by it because it was almost all stuff on movies.

It’s shutdown at work so it’s going to be like a ghost town there tonight. My department is the only department besides maintenance that stays open. I signed for some OT for this week but I guess I didn’t win it as I never heard anything. Still, I may ask in the morning to stay if there is some time available. A simple 4 hours is pretty handing resulting in a quick $60 take home.

Some day I’ll get back to working on the grayscales of the comic. I did some here and there doing some basic coloring stuff. I ended up doing this long blog instead of grayscaling before my nap so that I don’t pass out at work tonight. Gotta go, napping for 2 hours in 15 minutes!

Nothing exciting

Nope, just the usual: work, sleep, some internet surfing. Pretty boring recently, actually.

decent weekend, potential good news on the job front

Blog 072307

A decent weekend.

First, random news:

My oldest brother bought a new car. It was stunning to hear that he bought a Ford Mustang. He always buys useful cars like pick-up’s, vans, or good gas mileage cars. He was going to pay for the car in cash. CASH! Must be nice to have money. Instead, he took the 3 year no interest deal so he could keep his money in the bank. I look forward to seeing the car. I was never a big fan of the Mustang until it’s redesign a few years back.

Work should be a little weird this week. It’s shut down for all the plant except our area. I suspect it’ll be like a ghost town.

Could be some good news on the way for me. Works is introducing some new golf balls soon. That should mean a chance to go back to my original job. If that doesn’t work out another area is supposedly going to have 20 or so new openings for a new golf ball type. I hope to get out of my current job and into one of those. I’ll miss my boss and co-workers if I leave to another room but I dislike stamping and I suck at it.

My brother recharged the AC in my house. It’s something I never even thought about.

I’m leaning towards painting my bathroom. I’m thinking of a pale yellow for the upper half and sort of an ocean blue for the bottom half. Looks like I can get away with it for around $100. It really depends how many cans of paint I need. I found the gallon cans at Home Depot for $24 a pop.

The weekend was pretty good. I had signed for Saturday morning OT but lost out to people with more seniority. The guy that won the bid is a friend of mine and by the time Saturday morning rolled around he didn’t want it. We both work 3rd shift. So he checked and I could have and took it. For whatever reason, I was full of energy despite a 12 hour day. I’m glad I didn’t sign up for 2nd or 3rd shift OT as there was serious talk about canceling it. I think they canceled at least half of 3rd shift.

I got home and eventually took maybe an hour nap before heading to the comic store to play Heroclix. A good crowd was there so I had to wait awhile to get into a game. Three of us played a ‘draft’ game. I created the ‘draft’ game we play where we essentially draft heroes/villains as if we were like football teams. Once a certain character is picked, nobody else can pick him. You also have to go by memory and do not have access to your stuff. This is to help make it more fun as you try to remember that certain guy that’s awesome but forget him in the heat of decision making. It also makes it interesting as to when you try to draft someone. And do you draft a guy just to stop someone else from getting him. The drafting is usually more fun than playing the actual game.

I didn’t pick the greatest team. Angry Black Man and I beat each other up pretty good so D ended up winning fairly easily. D pulled his usual – let everyone engage each other and then do mop up duty. They he squawks that everyone is against him (and only him) when the weakened teams team up to stop him. Pretty much par for the course, I started in the middle. Par for the course I split my team. I didn’t do jack against D’s team as I was outnumbered and over powered. I got some good attacks in on Angry Black Man though and weakened him enough so he lost. I never expected to win the game unfortunately.

Saturday night was laid back doing some on-line gaming.

Sunday my brother and mom paid a visit which is when the AC was recharged. I headed down to CT after that to meet some people I chat with on a comic book forum. They were cool and I had a good time meeting them. The two clerks at the comic store are into drawing so they asked to see my stuff as we were leaving. So I stayed a while longer showing my stuff which worked out well. As I was showing my comics this customer asked if they were for sale so I sold two copies for a quick $5.

One of the people I met is an artist and he’s better at dynamic shots than me. I may hire him to do the front cover. Jason Embury did such a great job coloring the picture I drew that I don’t want to cover his gorgeous work with the title logo and price and stuff.

I’m not big on action figures but at the meeting place, a comic store, I did notice these little statues of comic heroes. They looked really terrific and would look great in a display case. I may have to go back and buy them. I think they ran $12 to $24 each depending on the size of the statue. They had mostly X-Men but also a great Silver Surfer.

After that was good chow at the parentals. Hamburgers, corn on the cob, and other goodies. Mom made me a banana cream pie that tasted awesome.

I brought home The Messengers that they had rented for the week. It was a really good creeping movie. But it sort of fell apart at the end. I didn’t like the resolution of the film. So many horror flicks go standard Hollywood. They have all this great suspense and then when you get the pay off of why things happen it’s like – ‘are you kidding’? Descent was another movie that was like this, great for the first ¾ and then totally lame, generic slasher flick using every cliché in the book to end it.

I kind of blew it today in that I didn’t start greyscaling the comic like I should have. I think because I was on the run so much Saturday and Sunday and I only caught little naps of 4 hours or less since Friday that today I’m really unmotivated. I did manage to return the flick to my parents, do some much needed grocery shopping and wash and dry a load of laundry. But that’s about it. In fact, I’m heading to nap very shortly so I can survive the work night.

Dead computer no more

After a $400.00 fix my computer is up and running. Either my processor or motherboard died while I was a taking a nap. I had just burned a CD of the art files for issue three of the Necropolis Chronicles and went to take a nap. When I awoke, my computer didn't to anything and all I had was a black screen. After much testing by my brother either my prcoessor or motherboard died. So while this totally sucked my time was decent in that I got my vacation check the following week and was able to buy some computer parts. That took about a week to get them and get them installed but I'm finally back up and running! Hurray!!!! :)

Had a weird dream the other night. My brother and I were in a sort of time warp. We were deaged by about 15 years. I was somewhere between 11 and 13. I was either in 8th grade or a freshmen. I think my brother was a junior in high school. He was driving us around as we were skipping school. Our car died or something because we ended up walking around. We were skulking about mountain roads keeping just off the road in the woods to keep from being seen. At one point a girl came out of her house. She was somewhere arounf our age. We considered talking to her although we didn't know her. She was walking to school I believe.

We were walking arounf Bartlett Ave, a road near my parents house. The road turned into a sort of open wharehouse for Home Depot or something. The place could fit 50 foot tall racks. I entered a doorway that in reality is the beginning of a slight hill on Mountain Road just above Grace Union Church. I often dream about this stretch of road a lot for whatever reason. In the reality of dreams, that doorway lead directly into a another store. It was cramped with people and seemed to be a sort of discount store although it was JC Penny's. The place was really packed and its alleys seemed made of of tables with stuff rather than typical store isles. My parents were there and everyone and thing was apparently deaged 15 years. As I was walking some distance behind my parents so as not to be spotted since I was skipping school, I felt a shove on my shoulder. Someone was pushing me aside from behind trying to get rudely get past me. It was my co-worker Jill. She was deaged but not as badly and didn't know me. She was probably 10 or 11 although if she was deaged by 15 years she would have been about 5! She called me a dickhead as she passed. She didn't know me. There weird thing about the dream was that although deaged, I knew everything I do now so I knew Jill. Still, I told her to fuck off. For whatever reason she was wearing a grass green skull cap. I saw her go out a door which seemed to be the only exit door to the joint. Everyone was piling out of it. The building was sort of a sheet metal building with those crazy wavy walls. The single person door exited to a small set of concrete stairs about 3 steps high. Jill turned left to go towards the road and started smoking with some friend. I turned left and headed towards a small cabin like structure where I saw some of my godparents children. They are all older than me in reality and here to but were all deaged. They didn't know me. In the craziness of dreams, the door into the close out store and the door exiting it covered about two miles in real life. The discount store essentially started at Grace Union Church but ended at the Wilbraham Tennis Club which now Interskate 91.

It was just kind of a weird dream.
